3 Delicious Ways To Drink Ginger

As well as being tasty and warming, ginger has lots of health benefits including being anti - inflammatory, supporting the immune system and helping to stabilise your blood sugar levels. Is there anything ginger can't do?

So why not cosy up with one of these three delightful ginger drinks?

Instant Honey, Lemon and Ginger Drink

Forget plain honey and lemon! There's a new drink on the block. Fresh ginger root is blended with manuka honey and lemon and frozen in an ice cube tray. Then, when you're after a warming pick me up you can simply pop one of the cubes into a cup of hot water.

Ingredients:

3 - inch piece of fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced

Juice of 1 lemon

1 tbsp manuka honey

Method:

Simply blend all of the ingredients together in a small blender until smooth, then pour into an ice cube tray and freeze.

This recipe should make 6 - 8 cubes depending on the size of your tray. Once the cub es are frozen, you can pop them out into a zip - lock bag and keep them in the freezer.

Then, just add a cube to a cup of hot water, stir and enjoy
